Well, I finally took some pictures of my GW finds. I can't wait to start painting these items. Not sure where in the world I am going to put them, but am sure I'll find the perfect spot. I'll post more pics when I am finished with them. I'm not sure yet what color to do everthing....

You have found some really great items!
ReplyDeleteI always basecoat my projects in black and then add any color on top.
Then when I sand down the top coat, to age, the black shows through...it will look great!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Great finds, especially the scoop/candle holder (not sure what you call it :) .. I also tend to basecoat everything in black, but have also used dark brown, depending on what I'm doing with the item (for example, adding spices). Whichever you choose I'm sure they will all look fabulous when you're done. Will be checking back for pics :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces! I basecoat in black also. Sometimes I basecoat in barn red (my main color in my house) then paint black over it and sand down to show bits and pieces of the red. I like using that combination.
